Family of Walls

This is a blog about a loving family that has since scattered across the country (soon to be five states). We are a goofy bunch. The adventures that we have on each of our different paths create great stories that we all love to share with each other. Now with this blog I hope that you can enjoy them too.

Much A Do About Cooking

Inspired by the Wall Cookbook I took to the Maid-Rites, but I guess I felt that after reading the article in the cookbook once I felt I need not refer back to it in order to cook the Maid-Rites. Needless to say my measurement of cheese to be added to such a difficult dish was much like me making the gravy in Biscuts n' Gravy on the camping trip of 2006. (Biscuts N' Gravy Made EZ! Just add pepper!)

In the recipe for Maid-Rites that I had in my head I was add a 1/2 a stick of Velveta cheese (you know the block of cheese that comes in a foil box?)to 1 pound of browned beef. It turns out you need to cut the 1/2 a block down to smaller size for easier melting and 1/2 block is too much for the 1 pound of beef.

I wonder if Jeff would every hire me at Joel?

Well, ahhh, 1 slice of Velvetta per Maid Rite is about right. 1 pound of Velvetta to 1 pound of hamburger will be a stretch but if you add some salsa you'd have a nice nacho dip for about 10 people.

Well, I tried for the first time to write a blog, which would have been about nothing, but I was unable to figure out how to do it. For this reason I will simply say that I have now looked at this blog and have enjoyed it. So here is my post

Hey, Marty, here's another idea for your Velvetta and Hamburger mixture:
cook a cup of macaroni and add to it with a little milk to thin it out and have yourself a really good cheeseburger casserole in good ol' Baptist Pot Luck Dinner fashion.

Everyone else posted and I need to post a comment also because if I don't I will officially be kicked out of the family or just RUIN IT! What are the rules of ruining the family anyway? Marty, I think you need to take a cooking class...just a suggestion
